Thanksgiving Forecast

My pastor read this at church on Sunday and I thought it was great!

Thanksgiving Forecast
Turkeys will thaw in the morning, then warm in the oven to an afternoon high near 190 F. The kitchen will turn hot and humid, and if you bother the cook, be ready for a severe squall or cold shoulder. During the late afternoon, the cold front of a knife will slice through the turkey, causing an accumulation of three or four inches on plates. Mashed potatoes will drift across one side while the cranberry sauce creates slippery spots on the other. Please pass the gravy. A weight watch and indigestion warning have been issued for the entire area, with increased stuffiness around the beltway. During the evening, the turkey will diminish and taper off to leftoevers, dropping to a low of 34 F in the refrigerator. Looking ahead to Friday and Saturday, high pressure to eat sandwiches will be established. Flurries of leftovers can be expected both days with a 50% chance of scattered soup late in the day. We expect a warming trend where the soup develops. By early next week, eating pressure will be low as the only wish left will be the bone.

Adios!

Let's Be Thankful

Today I found out about Hometown Burritos burning down and the fire taking the lives of three individuals... one of whom I knew pretty well. And it just reminds me that we never know when our time is going to be up here on earth. You know, it's almost thanksgiving... and I have noticed that it seems like people have forgotten about it and just decided Christmas needed to come early. I noticed Christmas decorations were out the day after Halloween!! What happened to taking a day out of our chaotic lives and to just be thankful? We need to be so thankful for every second we get to spend with our loved ones. Even when you come home from work and find that the dishes are piled high, there are tracks of dirt on rug, and clothes are thrown all over the bedroom, before you scream and yell, you need to stop and be thankful that someone is there to make those messes!! Because in just a split second, that could be gone. And what maybe used to seem like a mess is now something you long for day after day...

Anyway, I just had that thought... and I encourage everyone that reads this to stop right now and thank God for the tiny little things He has given you that you don't normally recognize on a daily basis.

Love and Kisses

Finally a new post!

Hey hey! It's been forever since I have written anything on here! Things have been busy, as usual, but they are finally starting to slow down. I only have 12 actual class days left until break. And guess what!?!? I already decorated (partially) for Christmas! Haha... I know what you are thinking... "So soon??" Yeah. I did it. I was looking at my calendar, and I literally am doing something every single weekend until Christmas. So I had no choice!! :D So I am going put up a few pics from the last couple of months. The first ones are of Tino at Halloween and the others are me and Ryan decorating for our first Christmas married.

Lots of love!
