A Lazy Day

Ryan is sick! I feel really bad for him. He got off work, came to my house, laid on the couch, and was asleep in just a few minutes. Hopefully he gets better soon... I don't like for him to be sick!

Today has been very boring, so I won't really say much about it. I went to class, worked on my project, came home, did some laundry and the dishes, and then messed with my myspace profile for a while. We were supposed to go to Blake's surprise birthday party tonight, but Ry doesn't feel like it and I don't want to go without him.

We are going to Springfield this weekend! It's homecoming! Actually, the only reason I am excited about that is because I get to see my family. I could care less about being in Springfield and going to homecoming. Haha. That's bad, huh?

Until next time...

My First Real Blog

Wow.

Here it is, almost October in 2007, and I am just now catching up with the blogging world. At least the "real" blogging world. I don't think myspace blogs really count...

I want to tell you the purpose of this blog. I realize that in this digital age, basically the only way to keep up with someone is by emailing them, or talking to them on myspace or facebook, or even sending them a text message. So I am going to make the lives of my friends and family much easier by just telling them what's going on in my life (and in Ryan's) by simply writing about it on here.

As far as school goes, today was a great day. Actually, every day has been a great day because my classes are fun so I have no problem getting through them. Have I mentioned that I really love graphic design? I sometimes wish I could just take classes for the rest of my life... I don't think I ever want to stop learning.

Ryan has been working at his new job this last month and he absolutely loves it. When he gets off work, that is all I hear about for probably an hour. He says that it doesn't even feel like he's "working". He gets to sit in classes and learn about Pharmacy stuff while he monitors the system that they use for distance learning. I am so proud of him and very excited that he likes his job so much!

Wedding planning is kind of at a stand still right now. I have mostly everything done for now so that I can focus on classes. I think that the first month after the engagement I had wedding fever! Now I am just kind of enjoying the fact that Ryan and I are engaged.

Stuff at the Wesley is going really well too! Sometimes I feel sort of out-of-the-loop with a lot of things, but then I realize that mostly it's just me worrying about how everything it going to work out. It's crazy going from being small little Chi Alpha that is student funded, to being the Wesley that doesn't hardly ever have to worry about money. And there are so many new people that I need to get to know, and so many things are different... But it's definitely a good thing! Change just takes some getting used to. Whatever God wants me to do, I am there to do it for Him. And right now, being involved in the Wesley and hangin' in there with Mikey is what I am called to do. Until that changes, here I will stay! :D

*Side note* .:. Flicker, my cat, is driving me nuts. Recently, he has decided to become a teenager. He thinks that he can just do whatever he wants, when he wants. He just stands at the door all day long meowing because he wants to go outside. He knows perfectly well that he is an INSIDE cat with NO CLAWS to protect himself outside. How do you deal with this kind of rebellion!??!?

Basically, that is all I am going to write about for now. I have a lot more to talk about, but I better not overwhelm anyone!

Oh, and enjoy FALL! It's definitely here... there are leaves all over my yard!
