The Wedding

Today is the big day! I am finally getting married to the most wonderful man in the world!! I can't believe how fast it got here. It seems like just yesterday that he was popping out of a box to ask me to marry him.

I loved the engagement period. It was so awesome. Ten months is not too long and not too short. It's perfect. Everyone told me that we were going to fight so much during the engagement, that it was going to be really stressful, and to just prepare for that. But we fought less and really just enjoyed the moment. I am thankful that we had those ten months to plan, or else I probably would have been stressed!

So far, everything is going well. Yesterday things got a little crazy, but you know how God always has a fun thing of working things out!! Micah's car broke down in Stratford, but Dad was right behind them and so he picked them up. Mikey, Cari, Joel and Lauren went to Clayton, NM and ended up being 30 minutes late, but not everyone even showed up until about then anyway. And the craziest of all, Johnny Carinos was supposed to come at 5:30 for rehearsal dinner, and they didn't show so they called them and found out that Johnny's screwed up and were coming today, the wedding day! Brenda was so upset. But you know what? It was God's plan! The Bar 4 ended up making enough chicken fried steak, salisbury steak, mashed potatoes, corn, green beans, hot rolls, salad, and cheesecake for everyone!!! AND Johnny Carinos picked up the tab, meaning Glenn and Brenda didn't have to pay a dime! Now they are going to have enough to pay for more on the cruise, like all of our excursions and stuff. It just amazes me how God knows what he is doing!! So the rehearsal dinner was really awesome... we ate good food and we sang karaoke.

And now here I am, 7.5 hours from my wedding, and I am so ready to walk down that aisle and start this next phase in my life with the one person I couldn't imagine life with out. I love you Ry!
